This site was originally known as Zowie Toys. However, Zowie Toys was hijacked years ago and we have been Toyfanatic for over ten years now. Several years into this business we began to offer Mego customizing supplies, including heads, clothing and other accessories. A few years later, services were added, such as custom painting.

As many of you have noticed, our vintage toy stock as dwindled over the last year or so. The focus of Toyfanatic in the near future is going to be doll wigs and heads rather than vintage Mego and Mego type figures.

GRADING

We are both conservative and meticulous about how we grade our items. For dolls and action figures, we use the standard "C" scale used by most action figure magazines. Most of our merchandise is loose. If an item is boxed or carded, however, that will be indicated in the listing. Here is a short run-down of the C-scale:

• c-10 Dead mint and complete, as in store new
• c-9 Near mint and complete. May have only small, barely noticeable flaw(s)
• c-8 Excellent condition, may have minor paint rubs, pulled threads, minor damage or soiling. might be missing accessories or some clothes.
• c-7 Decent, presentable toy. May be missing more paint and have some discolorations. May be missing some or all accessories. This will be indicated in description.
• c-6 Probably lost an arm or leg. The dog got it.
• c-5 We probably gave this one to the dog to play with.

For comic books, we rely on the Overstreet guide for grading. For most other items including books and paper collectibles we generally just try to describe ALL flaws in detail, as we understand that that is exactly what is needed in a virtual setting where a customer is unable to directly examine goods.

While we are very meticulous about grading, occasionally we may make a mistake. If this happens, please notify us within one week of purchase (not receipt of purchase) and we will be happy to refund your money. If you simply change your mind about an item, the timeline is the same. However, you will be responsible for shipping costs. We don't encourage the latter, however, we know that stuff happens...
